Privacy Policy
Last updated: February 2026
The Short Version
We don't collect your data. Period. Death Document is a client-side application — everything you type stays in your browser and is never sent to our servers. The only copy of your information is the one you print or download.
What We Collect
Nothing. We do not collect, store, process, or transmit any personal information you enter into the document form. Your data exists only in your browser's memory while the page is open. When you close or refresh the page, it is gone.
No accounts: There are no user accounts, no emails, no passwords, and no sign-up process of any kind.
No analytics: We do not use Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, or any third-party analytics or tracking services.
No cookies: We do not set any cookies — not for tracking, not for sessions, not for anything.
No third-party scripts: We do not load any external JavaScript, fonts, images, or resources from third-party domains.
How Your Data Is Protected
Your data is protected by the simplest and most effective method possible: it never leaves your device. There is nothing to encrypt because there is nothing to transmit. The form runs entirely in your browser using client-side JavaScript.
When you click "Print" or "Download PDF," your browser handles the process locally. We have no involvement in or visibility into this process.
Server-Side Information
Like all websites, our web server may log basic technical information such as IP addresses and request timestamps as part of normal operation. These logs are used only for security monitoring and are not associated with any personal information you enter into the form.
Third Parties
We do not sell, rent, or share any data with third parties. Since we don't collect personal information, there is nothing to share.
Your Rights (GDPR, CCPA)
Because we do not collect or store any personal information, traditional privacy rights (access, deletion, portability, etc.) do not apply in the usual sense — there is simply no data for us to provide, delete, or transfer.
If you have questions about our data practices, please contact us at hello@deathdocument.com.
Children's Privacy
Our service is intended for adults (18+). Since we do not collect any personal information, no children's data is collected or stored.
Changes to This Policy
If we make changes to this privacy policy, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
